Having gained cult status amongst fans at Bradford City, Ian first played for the club in the immediate aftermath of the tragic fire that struck the Valley Parade ground in May 1985. Some of his favourite memories include when he picked up a twenty pound note as he was running out onto the pitch to play away against Hull, and played for the whole game with it stuffed down his sock.
The 'highlight' of his career was the game at Wembley against Nottingham Forrest, which City easily won 2-0. The number of Bradford fans who travelled all the way to Wembley that day are a testament to how much they love their club and how far they are prepared to go to support them.
