West Yorkshire Archive Service is hosting two weeks of events this November where we will be getting creative with our collections and helping poeple discover some of the amazing people, places and events represented in our records.

To kick it all off Wakefield College are launching their Great War Lunches on the 11th November. Inspired by our collections the lunches provide a modern take on cooking and dining during the war.

Next our Leeds office will be hosting an open day on the 17th November with the Tetley to explore whether or not drinking is really the curse of the working classes. 10am - 2pm at the Leeds Archive:

On Tuesday 18th you can log on to our Webchat and ask any of our archivists your questions about our First World War collections, the stories they tell and how to access them.

Friday 21st we will be in the Elizabethan Gallery with the National Coal Mining Museum to launch a four year funded project to catalogue and share our National Coal Board Collections. Join us for exhibitions, tea coffee and biscuits.
