To celebrate the diverse and popular sports of West Yorkshire and the Olympic and Paralympic Games coming to London in 2012, we are concentrating a section of the Our Stories project on 'Sporting Heroes'.
We want to collect the memories of players and supporters past and present to find out about the local history of sporting leisure. We will be contacting a wide range of sporting teams for their involvement and hope to produce a captivating archive of oral histories. This will result in an exciting exhibition and public event at Leeds City Museum in 2011.
